Heal, Replenish & Nurture Your Body Postpartum

 4th trimester nutrition

Do you have a plan yet for how you will nourish yourself after the baby has arrived? If babe is here, how is prioritizing your own care going? It’s almost always the lowest on the priority list and not something that is often valued, despite the major depletions that happen in birth and postpartum. This is not an area most plan for intentionally and has poor medical monitoring.

Medical follow up for postpartum women is very limited. Plus, their nutritional evaluation is usually missed or is not an area most providers specialize in, unless you are seeking support from a Registered Dietitian.

But the fact is, your 4th trimester is an essential time to heal, replenish and nourish your body. Often women have vitamin and mineral deficiencies, erratic eating routines, altered body image and detrimental symptoms related to a shifted nutritional status.

Eating and nourishing your body is a form of basic self-care and essential during this sensitive period.
